Fuzzy Logic Studio Welcomes Aston Martin Consortium To North East

Fuzzy Logic Studio recently hosted five leading organisations from across the automotive supply chain, including luxury carmaker Aston Martin Lagonda.

The award-winning immersive technology specialists welcomed consortium partners Creative Composites, WMG, University of Warwick, Expert Technologies Group, and Manufacturing Technology Centre to the North East.

The two-day event marked six months since the start of Project ELEVATION - a three-year, £9 million project to support the advancement of Aston Martin’s BEV platform and enable a route to net zero, including investment in vehicle light-weighting and a digital toolchain.

Funded by Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC), a key element of the project centres around the need to reskill, upskill and new skill Aston Martin's workforce in vehicle electrification. Fuzzy Logic Studio is spearheading the delivery of immersive learning solutions using innovative Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality technologies.

While in the region, each consortium partner had an opportunity to present the latest developments in the project. This was followed by a visit to Nissan’s Sunderland plant and the DER Industrialisation Centre on the second day.

The time at Nissan included an introduction to the manufacturer’s Nissan EV36Zero strategy, as well as a guided tour of the battery packing, trim and chassis facilities.

Harvey Trent, Commercial Director at Fuzzy Logic Studio, said: “It was a pleasure to host our consortium partners in the North East and have an opportunity to showcase the innovation being driven from the region. We are proud to be at the cutting edge of technological advancement in the automotive sector, using our expertise in immersive learning technologies to help Aston Martin build competence at scale.”
