Challenge
Tech and engineering companies currently struggle to attract and recruit diverse talent at scale. Awareness of PEMD careers is also low in marginalised and under-represented groups. Failing to tackle these problems will lead to the skills gap widening across the supply chain in the UK’s green economy.
Solution
Partnering with The Blair Project and Coventry University, we have created a free-to-play Augmented Reality app that uses game-based learning to teach players aged 11-19 about battery technologies, power train systems, and renewable energy. Using interactive tools, players first convert a virtual petrol go-kart into the fastest, most energy-efficient e-kart. They can then perfect the paint job and apply custom features to make their kart a real head-turner.
Interactive billboards connect high-quality talent to apprenticeships, internship opportunities, industry placements, and career advice.
